Emergency Victoria reports 10 vehicles are responding to a notification of a road accident on Maroondah Hwy, Fernshaw, between Narbethong an Healesville. An online report says that a vehicle has left the roadway.
The Maroondah Hwy between Healesville and Narbethong is closed. Traffic has been reduced to one-lane on the Maroondah Hwy this morning at Dom Dom Saddle, Healesville-bound, after a semi-trailer left the roadway. Rainy weather has made road conditions difficult throughout the region. The highway is expected to be closed in both directions when recovery of the truck takes place today (Fri.).

Two factors are slowing Maroondah Hwy traffic at Healesville this morning (Fri., Sept. 20). A faulty truck wheel caught fire near the Maroondah Hwy intersection with Healesville-Koo-Wee-Rup Rd (near Airlie Rd). In a second incident, a tree is down over the highway between Fernshaw and Healesville.
