Eltham MLA Vicki Ward has told of the heartbreak of losing her mother-in-law in COVID-19 times.
“My mother-in-law battled motor neurone disease for 20 years, and she lost her battle with motor neurone disease in June,” Ms Ward said.
“We had the funeral at St Mary’s in Greensborough. We were not able to have a wake. We were not able to do a lot of things—my partner is one of seven children.
“It was a very difficult time. It was a very difficult time trying to get access to the hospital. We were all fortunate enough to be able to say goodbye to her, but it was hard,” Ms Ward said.
