GREATER DANDENONG: Historical sexual assault charges

Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have charged a man as part of their investigation into reported sexual assaults dating back almost 30 years.
A 68-year-old Keysborough man was charged with sexual penetration of a child under 16 years and indecent act with a child under 16.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Friday (Aug. 18).
The 13 charges relate to three complainants and are alleged to have occurred between 1996 and 2004.
Police will also allege the man came into contact with the complainants through his role at a Keysborough temple. The investigation remains ongoing.
Victoria Police encourages all victims of sexual assault and child abuse, and anyone who has knowledge of such a crime, to make a report.
