Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Tullamarine on Thursday morning (June 29).
Investigators have been told a Toyota Hilux and pedestrian collided on Broadmeadows Rd at about 6.40am.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the pedestrian a 87-year-old Tullamarine woman was transported to hospital but died a short time later.
The driver of the Toyota stopped and remained at the scene and had spoken with police.
Exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
