VIRUS: Police close parks

Parks Victoria shut off the 1000 Steps, Redwood Forest Warburton and the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden to the public last weekend.
The 1000 Steps was closed due to social distancing concerns.
Cr Jim Child of Yarra Ranges Shire was quoted on weekend radio bulletins to say that municipal rangers and Police had concerns that physical distancing rules had not been observed.
Victoria Police confirmed they had put a road block in place along the 1000 Steps car park on the Mount Dandenong Tourist Rd.
