Buses will replace trains on the Lilydale line between Ringwood and Lilydale, after a person was hit by a train.

The Department of Transport says: “We suggest passengers make alternative arrangement for the trip home. Replacement buses are expected to arrive shortly, and more will continue to operate through the afternoon.

“Passengers are advised to check station platform displays and listen for announcements, and to allow extra time for their journey.

“Services will resume when Victoria Police investigations are complete.

“Our signals team is monitoring conditions and will adjust traffic lights as needed to prioritise bus movements in the area.
