Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing St Andrews man Dane Simpson.

The 52-year-old was last seen at his residential address on Caledonia St about 9am Sunday morning.

Police and family hold concerns for Dane as his disappearance is out of character.

Dane was last seen wearing dark tracksuit pants, a navy jumper and boots.

Investigators have released an image of Dane in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sees him is urged to contact Eltham Police Station on 9430 4500.
