Update on Cambarville, Lake Mountain bushfires

A bushfire has been reported at Mountain Creek Track, just north of Kinglake, about 12.40pm Sunday (Mar. 3), reports Emergency Victoria.
Alexandra races abandoned

UPDATED: Saturday’s picnic meeting at Alexandra was abandoned by RV Stewards due to the state of the track. Jockeys voted against proceeding with the meeting. Caveat fire: Scouts leave Mafeking Park
As a safety precaution, a large number of Scouts left the Mafeking Rover Park at Caveat, north of Yea, on Saturday (Mar. 2). This follows lightning strikes on Friday night (Mar. 1). As at 6pm Saturday, 10 units were fighting the local fires in the Caveat-Tarcombe area.
Total Fire Ban on Sunday (Mar. 3)
The Country Fire Authority has declared a Total Fire Ban tomorrow, (Sunday, March 3) in all Districts across Victoria.
