An electricity company crew is on its way to Alexandra to attend to a situation where power lines are reportedly touching.

The crew is expected to arrive at the Maroondah Hwy, Wharegarwen, scene by 7.20am. The scene is apparently between Grannies Lane and Whanregarwen Rd.

Whanregarwen CFA volunteers are on the scene.
