The name ‘Merri-bek’ is registered as a business name to Local Media Pty Ltd, publishers of The Local Paper. Various internet domain names associated with ‘Merri-bek’ and ‘Merribek’ are also registered to the media company. Application has been made by Local Media Pty Ltd to IP Australia for a trade mark application for ‘Merri-bek’.
