Friday: North-East accounts for 10% of Virus cases


The local North-East region of Victoria accounts for 10 per cent of Coronavirus cases in the state. Yet, Murrindindi Shire is yet to record a single case.

Prof. Brett Sutton, Victoria’s Chief Health Officer, announced on Thursday (Apr. 2) that the north-east municipalities had an aggregate 104 cases of Victoria’s total of 1036

The current municipal breakdown is:

Banyule – 48
Mansfield – 2
Murrindindi – 0
Mitchell – 7
Nillumbik – 13
Strathbogie – 2
Whittlesea – 14
Yarra Ranges – 18
