Cars dumped at Leahys Rd

Mitchell Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after locating several stolen vehicles in dense bushland on a property at Tallarook.

A Victoria Police statement said that four late-model stolen four wheel drive vehicles were located on the Leahys Rd property on Saturday morning (Apr. 20) by a neighbour who contacted police.

The vehicles were all reported as stolen over the past 10 months, with two vehicles stolen from Kilmore, one from Donnybrook and one from Upper Plenty.

A number of other partially stripped vehicles were also found on the unoccupied property.

Investigators believe that unknown offenders have been attending the location to remove parts from the vehicles and have attempted to hide the vehicles by covering them with branches.

Anyone with information about the vehicles or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
